I love styled shoots. Being in the start-up phase of my business, it is a great way for me to show potential clients what I am capable of. It has also been a wonderful way to network with other wedding professionals in the area. I have made some great relationships with other wedding vendors through these shoots, some even becoming a LovelyChic Preferred Vendor.
This styled shoot was a dream come true for me. I was lucky to team up with one of my very best friends for this shoot, which made the planning process run smoothly. I have known Alissa of Alissa Paige Photography for quite some time now. Not only are we best friends, but so are our husbands and our sons. We just happened to both have a love for the wedding industry and with our own unique talents. Where I like to coordinate and create the vision for an event, she likes to shoot it. And she sure shot this shoot good. Unbiased comment: There's a reason she's a LovelyChic Preferred photographer. Let the pictures speak for themselves- this girl has got talent.
I am a hopeless romantic and I also tend to love trends. I was also that little girl who always wanted to be a disney princess and have been so inspired by the recent disney movies. So the vision for this shoot came quickly for me. I wanted an outdoor shoot and came up with Into the Woods: A Whimsical Romance. I wanted to incorporate Pantone's color of the year: Marsala. I quickly fell in love with this shade of deep red and thought it would look wonderful with a fairy-tale type theme. I am so glad our HMUA, Julia Krey, really brought that color out with her lipstick choice. Courtney from Fox and Fern Flower Crowns also brought out that Marsala with her stunning flower crown. I love pink and so I wanted to incorporate multiple and natural shades of it, along with sage greens. The floral designs in the shoot, provided by Floral Rhapsody, truly made the colors pop. I could sing praises all day about the way she did the centerpieces. I wanted to cry when she laid it all out because it truly was dreamy.
I am glad I spend the time to research and find the perfect vendors for this shoot. I could not have pulled this off without any of them. It was seriously a dream come true to watch my vision come to life and I owe it all to this fantastic team! You will not regret checking out their sites (especially if you are planning a wedding in Utah). My team was also lucky to work with an amazing real couple as our models. Sherry is a good friend of mine and I knew she would be perfect for the part! Not only does she look like a fairy tale princess, but she is a lively actress and was up for anything we asked her to do! She and her fiancee were so fun to work with and made our jobs easy! Thanks to an incredible team and incredible models.
